by car
- from Nairobi/Kenya
you cross Arusha in the North. When you see the TOTAL
petrol station on your right turn right. At the next
round about (Impala Hotel) turn left and after 2km you
will see Masai Camp gate to your right.
- from Dar Es Salaam and
Moshi you turn left at the TOTAL petrol station. At
the next round about (Impala Hotel) turn left and after
2km you will see Masai Camp gate to your right.
- from Dodoma/Serengeti NP
you cross Arusha on Sokoine Road. Downtown at the
Clocktower you turn after the petrol station left into
Old Moshi Road. After 1km you go at the round about
straight on. You will see Masai Camp gate after 2km to
your right.
by taxi
- take a taxi and tell the
driver "to Masai Camp". The cost is 2000 Tsh.
from the downtown Clocktower and 3000 Tsh. from the
bus station to Masai Camp.
by public Transport
- go downhill to the south
from the bus station . When you reach the main Sokoine
Road ask for a Dala Dala (Mini Bus taxi) to Kijenge* Village for
150 Tsh. (* spelled Kit`schenge)
- from Kijenge Villige you
can take a taxi, witch park there or have a short
downhill walk for only one km to Masai Camp.
by internatinal flight
- only 52 km from
Kilimanjaro Intenational Airport,take
a taxi (30-40 USD) or a shuttle bus ( 10000 Tsh = 10 USD)
- 6h by bus ( 20 USD) from Dar
Es Salaam International Airport (DAR) or with a national airline to Arusha
airport.
- 4h by bus from Nairobi
International Airport, take a shuttle bus ( 10 USD)
- 20 minutes from Arusha
